The Shoppes on Market Road is the latest of the neighborhood lifestyle center project that was introduced by Cobble Hill which combines the traditional retail functions of a shopping mall but oriented towards only middle and upscale consumers.

The concept has been created to address the shortage of quality retail outlets that will cater for the needs of the growing middle class. These are not major destination shopping malls with large anchor tenants but smaller centers that contain 25-40 shops which are created because of the surrounding residential neighborhoods.

The design of the center is based on a combination of the African traditional preference for the outdoor with an appealing feeling of modernity and convenience.

This center located on Market Road, Oniru and is surrounded by shops and residents in the middle/high income estates in Oniru. Altogether over 1,000 homes with a minimum family income of N20million per annum are within a 1km radius from the center.

The site is on a very busy commercial road which is currently the only location for commercial activities in Oniru. The center has been designed to maximize pedestrian access to all shops which ensures maximum exposure for each shop regardless of its location in the center. All shops are also fitted with a convenience for use by its staff or customers.
